Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 6, 2025

These Terms of Service apply to all clients booking services with The Holiday Edit NYC, an in-home gift wrapping service operating exclusively in the Upper East Side, NYC. By booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services & Scope

  • The Holiday Edit NYC provides gift wrapping, styling touches (ribbon, tag, theme embellishments), pickup & delivery to your location in the Upper East Side.

  • We provide all wrapping materials: paper, ribbons, tags, embellishments. You may provide your own upon request.

Booking, Payment & Deposits

  • Clients select a bundle up to 10, 20, or 30 gifts, choose a wrapping theme/collection, and pick a pickup date & time, at the time of booking.

  • A 50% deposit is required upon booking to reserve services.

  • The remaining balance will be invoiced to the client at the end of the appointment unless otherwise agreed.

  • Payment is processed through third-party payment processors; by booking, you authorize us to charge the deposit and subsequently the balance.

Scheduling & Availability

  • All services are seasonal (typically November-December) and limited in availability. Services are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • We reserve the right to decline or reschedule bookings if materials are unavailable, or if booking conflicts arise.

  • If we must cancel or materially change your order, we will inform you and, where applicable, refund your deposit.

Gift Intake, Condition & Client Responsibilities.

  • Clients must disclose any fragile, perishable, or high value items over $150 in advance.

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage or defects, or damage resulting from insufficient packaging disclosed in advance.

Loss, Damage & Liability.

  • We accept no responsibility for pre-existing damage, defects, or wear present at the start of the appointment. In the event of damage to, or loss of, an item while in our possession during the appoinment, our liability is limited to the lesser of (i) the actual cost of replacement or repair, or (ii) $25 per item, not to exceed $50 per order. Items with a declared value above $150 must be disclosed at the start of the appointment, and we reserve the right to decline responsibility for undisclosed high-value items.

Pricing & Errors in Descriptions

  • Prices, themes, and images are subject to change. We strive to maintain accuracy, but actual paper colors, ribbons, or embellishments may differ slightly from photographs.

  • If an error is made in your order description on our part, we will notify you and endeavor to correct at no extra cost.

Cancellation & Refunds

  • Clients may cancel up to 24 hours or more before pickup for a full refund of deposit.

  • Cancellations less than 24 hours before pickup are non-refundable.

  • If you miss the scheduled pickup window without notifying us, deposit may be forfeited or reschedule fee may apply.

Intellectual Property & Content Use

  • All photos, logos, website content, graphics used by The Holiday Edit NYC are our property.

  • By booking, you grant us a license to use photos of the wrapped gifts and final arrangements for marketing, social media, portfolio, etc., unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

  • Client content (e.g. gift list, personalization notes) remains private and confidential unless consent is given for this information to be shared publicly.

Changes to Terms

  • We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. The effective date will be updated. Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York County.
